“Last Night”

A New Film By Paul Schimmel and D. James Nikolits

On the day that our protagonist is going back to college and the girl of his dreams, he makes an unsettling discovery that forces him to stay one more night.  With the exception of one scene shot in Ann Arbor, the entire film was shot in the houses and yards of the crew in Plymouth and Canton, as well as Zack’s Restaurant in Plymouth.  It was shot over one week in August, but the pre-production began at the end of May.

Our goal in making this film was simple.  We wanted to see a film that is especially relevant to people in our own age group, and we felt that the only way we could ever see such a movie is make it ourselves.
